The situation in the Philippines following typhoon Haiyan is disastrous, with people having no water, food or shelter and with supplies taking a painfully long time to reach those in desperate need. After any natural disaster unsanitary conditions can result as people struggle to survive and as diseases set in. Uncontrollable diarrhea can result in many people and this can be life threatening.
Remember this simple way to stop the diarrhea, often when all else fails.
Boil 6 to 8 carrots with about 3 cups of clean water until they are soft, letting the fluid reduce to about 1 cup. Add ½ cup of boiled pure water to it. Drink this liquid. Adults can also eat the carrots, repeating as necessary until the diarrhea has ceased. For babies, give only the liquid in a bottle 2 to 3 times a day. For children, have them drink the liquid and then mash the carrots and feed to them.
The reduced carrot liquid, full of vitamin A, is an amazing healer and has proven to save the lives of many, including infants.
If there is no medical help available, this can save a life.
Always check with your doctor first if one is available.
Here you are again H.H. Alexandra, concerned about others but are they concerned about you? I hope the hearts of others will be warm to you too as I hear that your own condition is devastating. If anyone who follows you could give a $5.00 gift it just might help you out tremendously. Knowing you for so many years I know that you would take any extra and give it to others in need. May all gods and angels help you and some happy earth gophers too. Hey everyone just help her too. And thanks for the tip on carrots. Imagine how many lives could be saved by supplying carrots to areas of disaster!
