– Escalating major earthquakes in ring of fire (June 2, 2013 – 6.2M near Buli, Taiwan; May 24, 2013 – 8.3M – Sea of Okhotsk, Russia; , May 23, 2013 – M7.4 – 282km SW of Vaini, Tonga; April 19, 2013 – 7.2M Kuril Islands)
